Hi, This is my first posting to this board. I have a particular interest in the McLennan/McLellan families who appear on the 1901 census for Churchville, Pictou County. The center of this investigation is one Ida Robertson, who appears in the household of James W. McLennan [b. July 18, 1831] & his wife Sarah [who was a Robertson] My first wish is information on the McLennan/McLellan ancestors of Ida Robertson, d/o Daniel Robertson & Margaret McLennan/McLellan [Dan Robertson was m. twice to a Margaret Robertson & a Margaret McLennan/McLellan--I don't know which wife was first]. Daniel Robertson appears on the 1901 census for Churchville as household #18 My second wish is to find the genealogies of the McLennans/McLellans who appear on this 1901 census for Churchville so that I can tie them to Ida Robertson and I believe back to John McLellan/McLennan who settled at the mouth of McLellan's Brook. Patterson in his "History of Pictou County 1877" points out that the name McLellan & McLennan has been used inter-changeably & I have certainly found this so in digging about. Any assistance on this surname & most particularly on this Churchville group [especially Ida Robertson] would be greatly appreciated tickbuck
