I am interested in corresponding with anyone descended from the family of Hugh (Evan, Ewen, Eoghan Mor) Mc\MacDonald who settled at Bridgeville in 1784 along with his father, John Mc\MacDonald (Iain MacEoghain Oig) and brothers (James and Duncan) for the purpose of expanding my personal family database.
In later years, Hugh (Ewen) became known as Evan. He settled Mount Maple Farm (Jan, 1920 RH Ward article)
Hugh had 6 chlldren. John, Duncan, Alexander, Nancy, Margaret, Elizabeth (Betsy)
John married Anne (Nancy) McIntosh, (purportedly of Sunny Brea). Nancy died in Nov 1892
Duncan married Mary MacPhie (when Duncan died, Mary married Thomas Fraser and they removed to California)
Betsy married Donald Chisholm of Plymouth
Nancy married John Mc\MacDonald (McLellans Brook)
Margaret married Alexander Fraser (Tailor)
Alexander (no information-though an Alexander McDonald of the East River married an Isabella Mckenzie in 1821 - during this same time frame)
I am descended through John Mc\MacDonald and Anne Mcintosh's son, Alexander

1/2 brother Duncan married catherine Fraser
another 1/2 sister, Christy, married Duncan Mc\MacDonald of Sunny Brea (Dhonnachadh MacIain)
(Evan) Hugh also had twin sisters born on 1 July 1771 at Drumnadrochit, inverness-shire, Scotland

Helen (Ellen) married John Robertson (Churchville)
