Hello: I'm searching for information on a family of Gunns - either 3 or 5 siblings - who emigrated from Scotland arriving in Pictou, I believe in 1847-48 (there is the possibility of 1842). The brothers were all ship's carpenters by trade. My great great grandfather, Donald, was one of the siblings. He and his wife Catherine (nee Ross b 1811 Scotland) separated from his siblings and continued on and settled in Cape Breton. I have no names for Donald's siblings nor do I know where in Scotland they hailed from. If anyone had a Gunn ancestor who was a ship's carpenter and may have arrived in Pictou in the above time frame I would love to hear from you. Thank you!
