My Great Grandfather was the only child in his family who survived the wreck of the Brig Sutledge (or Sutledj or Sutley). The brig sailed from Pictou in May/June of 1846 and ran up on the rocks off Newport, Rhode Island. I have some family stories and a picture of the Newport Cemetary Monument that I'd be willing to trade for any more information and stories. I believe that a Rev. Love wrote a book (booklet?) about the wreck.
