Looking for the family of Annie McIntosh, b. abt 1804 - Upper Settlement East River
From a published RH Ward Jan 1920 article, Annie McIntosh has been confused with being a dau of David McIntosh and Christy Chisholm of Sunny Brea, but this couple married "after" 1804.
It is now thought she might be the daughter of Duncan McIntosh (brother of David) and Mary Chisholm (sister to Christy) but I have no firm proof. It has been proposed that Annie went to live with her uncle David McIntosh when her father Duncan died and her mother Mary remarried (to a McQuarrie)
Both David and Duncan were sons of Charles McIntosh (Petty INV) and Isobel Ross (Ft George INV). I believe both were born in Inverness-shire prior to their arrival in Kings County. This Charles McIntosh family relocated to Pictou County to be among Gaelic speaking scots
Annie McIntosh marr John MacDonald (Bridgeville) in Dec 1823 and both recorded their address as the East River-Upper Settlement
Any help in positively ID'ing her true parentage would be greatly appreciated.
