Greetings from Australia. I am researching the Lindsay/Pinkerton families from Westville, NS, around the 1910 - 1923 period. Two of their sons, who were half brothers, were killed in the Allan Shaft mine disaster on the 25th Jan 1918, along with many others. I have found the records of their deaths in the NS BDM, but I cannot find any record of their place(s) of burial. My main interest is in Charles Lindsay, aged 18 years, miner, listed as living at Drummond Square, Westville, NOK Elizabeth Lindsay. His religion was probably Brethren or Wesleyan, if that helps.
Can anybody help with info? Due to the numbers killed was it a mass burial, and if so, where? thanks, Margaret atlasvet at hotmail . com
